Practice Support Coordinator

TeamHealth Southern Ohio, OH (Remote) Full-Time


The Practice Support Coordinator (PSC) will have a noticeable presence in managing calls, mail, and clinician orders. The PSC will collaborate and work with Clinicians, Practice Support Manager, Vice President of Operations (VPO), and Clinical Practice Managers (CPM) to ensure the efficiency of the program and maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Answer calls in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
  • Manage incoming faxes
  • Handle standard billing issues and medical record requests
  • Manage death certificates
  • Process Home Health Care orders and submit Home Health Care billing
  • Manage incoming mail (Knoxville location)
  • Create and ship regional Rounding Books (Knoxville location)
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Job Requirements:



JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years of customer relations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service – with internal and external clients
  • Health experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information.
  • Position requires sensitivity, diplomacy, and good judgment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Professional mannerisms and appearance
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

    • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting
    • Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less)
    • Prolonged sitting with prolonged work on a computer/PC
    • Office-based position with rare or no travel required
    • Moderate stress
