Clinical Practice Manager - Post Acute Care

TeamHealth Grand Rapids - Remote, MI (Onsite) Full-Time

There is travel 3 days per week to facilities within Western Michigan; such as Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. There is additional travel 4 days per month to Indiana and Ohio. Candidates being considered will live in the Western Michigan market.

SUMMARY:

The Clinical Practice Manager (CPM) serves as the primary point of contact for the clinicians and our client (Post-Acute Care) facilities in the market. Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations (VPO), the Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for the operational performance of the clinicians and facilities. The Clinical Practice Manager is seen as the Ambassador for TeamHealth in their market and embodies operational excellence in all aspects of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinician Support

  • Serves as the primary support and liaison for the clinicians
  • Ensures strong relationships and the retention of existing clinicians
  • Enhances patient and clinician satisfaction
  • Oversees new hire orientation and clinician ramp-up thorough the onboarding process

Client Relations

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with existing clients
  • Constantly seeks new business opportunities in the market and looks to expand TeamHealth’s post-acute presence
  • Consistently fosters a commitment to customer service

Management

  • Manages daily operations of the practice as it relates to KPI's and clinician and client satisfaction
  • Recommends process improvements to gain operational and/or administrative efficiencies and sees through implementation
  • Coordinates coverage schedules to ensure adequate staffing
  • Implements policies and procedures that guide and support the practice operations
  • Participates in recruitment for new clinicians for the post-acute team
  • Leads onsite meetings with clinicians and client facilities on a quarterly basis
  • Consistently displays professionalism in dealing with coworkers, clients and clinicians
  • Consistently meets budget for areas of responsibility

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in a healthcare related field
  • BS or equivalent, in a healthcare related field
  • Post-Acute Care experience highly preferred
  • Ability to analyze and understand data
  • Ability to work well under pressure of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to establish priorities and be flexible enough to adapt to changing ones
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate effectively – orally, in writing, in person and on the telephone – with all categories of people within and outside the company
  • Knowledge of spelling, grammar, punctuation and English usage sufficient to write professional presentations
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Knowledge of computer sufficient to produce reports accurately and efficiently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word
  • Ability to work independently and in an organized manner
  • Ability to establish goals and demonstrated ability to complete projects by deadlines
  • Ability to establish priorities and be flexible enough to adapt to changing ones
  • Ability to work well under pressure of meeting deadlines and with difficult people
  • Ability to travel 3 days per week within the assigned market
  • Ability to attend company and professional functions after normal work hours
