JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for entering data in the Audit Tracking System via AES within the IDX Software. The data consists of payer audits, audit types, audit reasons, outcomes, revenue impact and risks. The Audit Tracking System will allow HCFS to track audits, report and respond to deadlines to avoid revenue loss and process audits timely. The employee must have good organizational skills, be flexible, proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel. In addition, time management is very important.

ATS REPRESENTATIVE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Six months to one year in healthcare, specifically in Accounts Receivable and/or Denials and Appeals related to insurance claim filing in an office or hospital setting. Input, track, maintain, and edit the audit data via AES within the IDX Software and into the Audit Tracking System.

  • Enter the payer response to track outcomes of carrier audits.

  • Provide detailed information related to the audit within the comment screen of the Audit Tracking System.

  • Responsible to input, track, maintain and edit all applicable RAC data as outlined in the HCFS Policy 4.4.18.

  • Daily responsible for reviewing, researching and maintaining the ATS Billing Center Reports.
  • Monthly review ATS Aging Report and providing updated data to the Health Plan Claim Reviews and Audits leadership team.

  • Provide weekly audit status, trends, issues to the Manager of Patient Services, as well as, the Billing Center Vice President.

  • Perform all other duties as directed by the Manager of Patient Services, the Alcoa Billing Center or any other member of the Management Staff.

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

This job will be performed in a well-lighted and well-vented environment. Work is oriented around good visual skills. Eye fatigue may be encountered as extended amount of time is spent in front of computer.

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.

Overtime may be required and can be mandated by Management.
