Job Requirements of Payment Posting and Refunds Manager (Remote):
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Healthcare related specialty or Business Administration Program with a proven record of academic excellence or commensurate experience
- Additional training in Accounting and medical billing preferred
- Excellent management skills including exceptional organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
- Ability to deal with a variety of tasks simultaneously in a fast paces environment and establish and orchestrate
- Orchestrate priorities while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Demonstrate sound judgment and leadership skills
- Knowledge of IDX/BAR preferred
- Proven record of outstanding professional accomplishments in medical and physician billing as its primary environment. Ideal experience would include a sound understanding of medical reimbursement, different payment methodology and four or more years of progressive responsibility in supervision or management related to Patient Accounts, Accounts Receivable Management in a fee for service billing

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
Reporting into the Assistant Vice President of Reimbursement, the manager is responsible for direct personnel supervision and management of the Patient Accounts teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Patient Accounts Manager is responsible for staffing and personnel management for assigned areas including hiring, training, leading and motivating staff
- Developing systems and controls to assure that work force meets the minimum productivity standards both departmentally and for individual employees
- The manager has the overall accountability to assure the month-end closing process is within schedule for areas of responsibility
- Develop quality assurance monitors for all areas of responsibility including an ongoing system of training, evaluation and feedback
that relates to all functional jobs in the department - Coordinating communication to assigned staff on productivity standards, quality standards, policies and procedures as well as corporate information
- Interface with other areas within the Billing Operations Center to
problem solve and support the investigation and resolution of problems and issues - Participate with and assist the Accounts Receivable group in the effective management of accounts receivable for client billing sites. Systems shall be installed in Patient Accounts to assure accurate posting, claim filing and appeals
- Facilitate the timely communication to the departments any issues or problems identified either by departments within reimbursement or by other areas of the operation that impact posting payments,
rejections, processing refunds or other work of functional areas - Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and is
responsible to manage the budget within assigned amounts - Coordinate the resolution of billing issues among
other departments
