Accountant – Job Overview
The Accountant plays a key role in financial operations, overseeing month-end processes, conducting rate analysis, managing incentives, and ensuring accurate financial report distribution. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support financial accuracy and decision-making.
Accountant – Key Responsibilites
- Support Senior Accountants with month-end processes, including journal entries, research, and data entry.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Calculate and reconcile compensation for payroll submission per contract requirements.
- Manage contract-based billing and accounts receivable invoices.
- Monitor A/R balances, follow up on past-due invoices, and prepare aging reports for management.
- Collaborate with the Treasury department to resolve payment posting issues and identify unapplied payments.
- Code accounts payable invoices and conduct AP research.
- Assist analysts with compensation calculations and reviews as needed.
- Conduct month-end financial reviews, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.

Accountant – Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and database management (Lawson's experience is a plus).
