Business Analyst - Lean Six Sigma

OVERVIEW
The Business Analyst; Lean Six Sigma certified will work with the Strategic Initiatives team to help identify, prioritize, and launch/execute key initiatives to advance quality of care, improve operational efficiency, and elevate provider satisfaction through the use of Lean Six Sigma and Data Analytics methodologies. The Business Analyst will collaborate with key stakeholders and business leaders to lead discovery and process improvement efforts, across the organization, to achieve significant impact on key organizational metrics.

This position is remote. However, there is travel two (2) times per month to the Knoxville corporate office in Knoxville TN. Ideal candidates will live in TN or in a surrounding state.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage initiatives from original concept through final Discovery. Responsible for identifying gaps/business needs, root causes of problems, effective solutions, and metrics to measure success
  • Follow Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC and DMADV) methodology to develop robust project plans, and design/implement key processes to help the organization achieve its goals
  • Facilitate VOC activities, including brainstorming, benchmarking and focus groups, to identify/analyze customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions
  • Lead business process analyses and redesign activities to evaluate current state, identify inefficiencies and develop future/ideal state
  • Analyze operational/financial data and provide data-driven insights to inform and develop strategies for process improvement and future business initiatives
  • Measure post-release project performance, using appropriate tools and techniques, to monitor and verify the project success. Identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders
  • Manage customer expectations and provide regular project updates to senior leaders, through project gate reviews
  • Support and partner with Project Managers and Data Analysts through the different project phases and gate reviews
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to team members, on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and standards across the organization
  • Handle other duties, meetings and projects as assigned by management

Job Requirements:



JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Industrial/Process Engineering, Statistics, Business or a similar field
  • 3 to 5 years professional experience in relevant area involving projects crossing multiple business functions
  • Expert in DMAIC and/or DMADV methodologies
  • Must have at a minimum a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with Process Modeling using BlueWorks, Visio and/or Lucidchart
  • Strategic thinking, strong decision making and creative problem solving skills
  • Advanced level Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; Superior communication skills – verbal, written, presentation and negotiation
  • Patience and ability to excel under pressure, handling multiple requests often with tight deadlines
  • Aptitude for learning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • LSS Black Belt certification
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Visualization tools using Tableau and/or PowerBI
  • Experience with Statistical Modeling (e.g.
    Regression, Hypothesis Testing) using Minitab, JMP, and/or R
  • Experience with SmartSheet
  • Healthcare industry experience
