OVERVIEW:
The Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in enabling financial success in the CMS Quality Payment Program. This individual will validate data integrity, improve and develop operational insights, support operational communication efforts, and ensure true, accurate, and complete yearly reporting of program data to the federal government. the Analyst will also be responsible for providing financial and scoring projections that support the overall financial health of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand program financial data, scoring formulas, and system integrations to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Act as a subject matter expert and technical resource on Quality Payment Program scoring methodology and financial risk projections, collaborating with leaders and peers to research, diagnose, and develop recommendations to resolve operational issues related to internal and external reporting
  • Act as liaison to Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services for questions regarding scoring methodology or technical assistance with yearly data submission
  • Validate and monitor clinician eligibility as a whole and within the various Quality Payment Program performance categories
  • Solve complex problems and propose solutions by drawing inference from data, thinking critically, and developing & analyzing multiple scenarios
  • Partner with IT to test and validate data changes impacting financial prediction models, datasets, and regulatory reporting workflows
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data sources, data definitions, report and analyses logic
  • Host large-group internal team meetings to discuss trends in Financial Risk and Financial Performance
  • Handles other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Two to three years of work experience in a data-driven professional setting as a data, business, or operations analyst
  • Experience analyzing and managing large data sets
  • Intermediate working knowledge of data querying techniques, especially MS SQL
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
