QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- College degree preferred and/or 3-years of experience using critical thinking and independent decision making.
- Exercises use of proper judgment.
- Project management certification or experience a plus.
- 1+ years of experience within a healthcare or health well-being setting is preferred.
- Possesses excellent communication skills and listening skills, and is extremely comfortable expressing ideas and representing
the organization. - Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in various computer applications, i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, database management and presentation
software. - Familiarity with technology and able to adapt to occurring changes within technological updates, i.e. office equipment, cell
phone use and software changes. - Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks with varying deadlines with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information used in performance of duties.
- Ability to adapt to change and positively manage stressful situations.
- Ability to motivate people and teams to produce a positive outcome.

Locums Sourcing Specialist- 5438
JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The Locums Sourcing Specialist’s primary responsibility is to manage locum opportunities, candidate submissions and provide
assistance to external Locums agencies to facilitate the selection of new clinicians for critical open locum positions. The Locums
Sourcing Specialist assists with the onboarding process and the maintenance of the Locums providers. This position maintains
key relationships to ensure fulfillment of all locum clinician staffing assignments that cannot be serviced by TEAMHealth Locums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains relationships with external Locums agencies while maintaining the integrity of the tiered vendor plan.
- Maintains familiarity with staffing locums for a single service line with potential cross training into multiple.
- Communicates weekly updates of open locum opportunities to D&Y and external agencies.
- Opens and closes opportunities in Axess and TeamWorks.
- Logs all necessary action is TW for internal and external locum candidates.
- Performs name clears, candidate submittals and leadership approvals of internal and external candidates within 24 hours.
- Submits all locum presentations within 24 hours to VPO, RMD, FMD and Account Manager.
- Negotiates with agencies on rates within predetermined thresholds and escalates “out of threshold” rates to D&Y Account
Manager for approval. - Coordinates clinical screening / interview with agency for locum candidate (if applicable) and required leadership in a timely
manner; provides feedback to external agency within 72 hours. - Coordinates an instructional email with expectations for agency / provider upon leadership approval of locum candidate.
- Notifies TH Clinical Onboarding Liaison and D&Y Account Manager of acceptance of external candidates and, notifies D&Y
Account Manager, Recruiting Manager, Recruiter and Credentialing Manager of acceptance of internal locum candidates. - Initiates the request for completion of the TeamHealth Questionnaire to agency upon leadership approval and follows up on
return within 72 hours. - COL notifies LSS if external THQ is not received within 4 days and escalates issues to D&Y Account Manager for decision regarding
withdrawal of locum candidate. - Notifies contracting to initiate the CAR process upon receipt of signed confirmation.
- Initiate CAR terminations related to withdrawals to Contracting.
- Serves as a liaison between clinical facility leadership and the external locum agency.
- Facilitates annual compliance training with agencies for existing external locums.
- Performs special projects and other duties as needed that may be assigned by management.
