Invoicing Specialist (TEMP)-5385

TeamHealth REMOTE, AL (Onsite) Full-Time



JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

Primary responsibility for this position is to validate all locum invoices received from locum agencies and verify invoice accuracy to ensure invoices are processed timely.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives bi-weekly and monthly invoices from all locums tenens agencies;
  • Reviews all locums invoices to ensure all supporting documentation is included to support the total bill rate on the invoice per contract terms;
  • Verifies all rates align with contracted rates and initial confirmation letter;
  • Validates hours worked against scheduling/timekeeping application(s);
  • Monitors any overtime against scheduling/timekeeping application(s) to ensure accuracy of hours as well as RMD/FMD approval;
  • Confirms all corresponding charges related to travel and expenses are accurate, reasonable and are within the T&E policy guidelines;
  • Processes locum invoices for approvals and payment through AP;
  • Contacts all agencies to inquire on outstanding items for invoices to be processed;
  • Coordinates an instructional email with expectations for agency to submit supporting documentation for invoice to be processed;
  • Prepares excel file reports for all rejected invoices;
  • Creates and sends an excel file of all invoices entered and forwarded to accounting on a daily basis;
  • Notifies accounting of any urgent invoices to be processed;
  • Ensures all buy-out invoices are processed in a timely manner (30 days) along with appropriate approvals in place (TH leadership and agency in agreement);
  • Assists with special projects and/or audits;
  • Performs any and all other duties as needed that may be assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree preferred and/or 3-years of experience using critical thinking and independent decision making; Uses proper judgment
  • 5+ years of experience within a healthcare setting
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and listening skills, and is extremely comfortable expressing ideas
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, e. word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, database management and presentation software
  • Familiarity with technology and able to adapt to changes within technological updates, e. office equipment, cell phone use and software changes
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to handle confidential data
  • Ability to adapt to change and redirect stressful situations
  • Ability to motivate people and teams to produce a positive outcome
  • Process improvement experience a plus
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills required

Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
