Job Requirements of Benefits Coordinator:
Experience:
Minimum of one year of HR/Benefits experience required. At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Possess strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proficient in various computer applications such as word, excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.
• Able to handle stress, multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Able to work in a team oriented environment. • Able to handle confidential inform
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
• Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting;
• Occasional lifting/carrying (20 pounds or less);
• Occasional standing/bending/stooping/reaching;
• Occasional overnight travel; • Moderate stress; • Prolonged sitting and • Prolonged work in a computer/PC.
This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.

Benefits Coordinator
Job duties and responsibilities:
• Assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, reviews and approves all benefit enrollments, and changes made by employees in the benefit enrollment system daily.
• Reviews and approves qualifying events and any applicable documentation submitted through the benefit enrollment system. Follows up on missing information and verifies correct documentation for the event.
• Answers the telephone for the Benefits Line and assists employees with a variety of questions and issues. Seeks to resolve issues or route to appropriate person for resolution, provides adequate follow-up and response to caller on a timely basis. • Responsible for monitoring the benefits email in-box to assist employees with their benefits questions and requests in a timely manner.
• Provides general information to vendors regarding employee information requests and documentation.
• Assist employees with completing forms for Medicare, creditable coverage and portability/conversion paperwork.
• Scans and files any documents related to benefits. Keeps records organized
• Stays current on TeamHealth Benefits in order to answer questions and respond to employees.
• Completes audits and processes any data entry related to audits that are assigned.
• Records, evaluates and tracks national medical support orders and qualified medical child support orders.
• Completes other projects and tasks as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
