TeamHealth Fort Lauderdale, FL (Onsite) Full-Time

  • This position is onsite for the training period which is approximately 4-weeks and then it allows the ability to work remotely.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Customer Account Representative is responsible for communicating with and collecting payment from healthcare patients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using an automated dialer, contact patients to obtain payment for past-due balances.
  • Using Customer Service Focused Sales Technique, Negotiate payments and payment plans.
  • Assist patients with questions.
  • Work with patients to explain charges.
  • Intake new insurance information for billing

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Through paid, in-house training programs, master knowledge of:

  • FDCPA
  • Collection and communication techniques
  • Medical billing knowledge

Job Requirements:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Skills

  • Consumer collection experience in a call center environment is a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Required Schedule: Monday through Friday 8-5 pm EST
  • Must be professional and business savvy.
  • Must exhibit excellent attendance, be responsible & dedicated.
  • Hard work can yield significant, career level income for motivated individuals.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking is a plus.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Ideal candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Medical Collections
  • Call Center Environment
  • High volume, consumer focused sales
  • Customer Service-related fields

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Hours and Location: Once account representatives are fully trained, they will transition to a work from home environment where supervision and assistance is remote and continuous.

Current Hours of Operation: The current hours of operation are from 8AM to 5PM. Some weekend or evening hours may be required as needed in the future.
