QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- B.S./B.A. in Accounting; CPA a plus.
- Five (5) years of related progressive accounting experience required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful, demonstrated managerial experience required.
- Advanced accounting computer expertise, including utilization of third party software. Lawson software experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills (spreadsheet, database management, word processing).
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent judgment and decision making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and direct others.
- Ability to handle stress and conflict.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment demonstrating flexibility and cooperativeness.

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Remote work environment, with occasional work in office for associate training and company functions.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Moderate to high stress levels, ability to perform and complete tasks on short timetables.
- Travel on business basis as needed; negligible.
- Prolonged sitting.
- Prolonged work on a PC/computer.
- Moderate use of on-line communications, including calls and Zoom meetings.

Accounting Manager-5389
JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for providing functional and managerial support to the Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the Accounting Department personnel and operations, who work in a remote environment.
- Manages weekly and monthly Zoom meetings with Accounting Department and Sales Departments.
- Regular communication and problem resolution with VP Operations Finance and management.
- Understands and can perform the role of each position in the Accounting Department. Performs on a rotational basis and as needed.
- Coordinates with Worklog and Provider Pay Supervisor oversight of worklog and provider payments associates and responsibilities. Reviews and approves bi-weekly and out-of-cycle provider payments.
- Reviews and approves weekly accounts payable for disbursement.
- Manages the associates performing the weekly billing for services, including the posting of VMS/MSP using the vendor-specific software.
- Manages the status and collection of accounts receivable. Approves debit and credit memos. Prepares reporting for quarterly status meeting and forwards to VP Operations Finance for review.
- Prepares and/or directs financial analysis and research of business activity.
- Assists in preparation and review of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, including preparing and distributing the month end close schedule.
- Performs monthly system close and other accounting system maintenance.
- Assists the VP Operations Finance in preparing monthly management reporting package as needed.
- Responsible for oversight and review of general ledger accounts, reconciliation and resolution of outstanding items including reviewing monthly reconciliations.
- Prepares and/or directs preparation and review of weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual business reports. This includes reports to regulatory agencies, financial institutions, and government departments as required.
- Along with the VP Operations Finance, prepares and/or directs responses to audit requests.
- Responsible for review, implementation, and monitoring compliance by Accounting Department with Sarbanes Oxley Act.
- Assists in preparation of annual budget, monthly projection updates, and input to Hyperion.
- Serves as project lead on Accounting software conversion, training, and maintenance.
- Serves as the Accounting Department liaison for integration and use of the Microsoft 365 provider and client database software.
- Maintain delegated authority for e-mail and access to secure/locked materials for all Accounting Department employees to maintain system and physical access and processing during employee absences.
