Job Requirements of Senior Accountant-Remote:
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience in accounting discipline.
- Strong general ledger and monthly closing experience including preparation and review of financial statements.
- Excellent computer skills with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Lawson, Oracle, and/or Essbase software is desired, with Tableau, Power BI, and Smartsheet a plus.
- Staffing and/or healthcare industry experience is desired.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technical skills.
- Excellent judgment, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization skills, including the ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage stress/resolve conflict in a positive and professional manner.
- Extreme attention to detail when following instructions and preparing and reviewing reports for accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with others and work with minimal direction/supervision.
- Supervisory experience a plus.
- Ability to be tactful and discreet with confidential and personal information.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and provide leadership to the D&Y Accounting Department personnel during the Accounting Manager’s absence. Assist provider payment associates during Provider Pay Supervisor’s absence.
PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Job performed in a remote setting, with minimal time in an office environment.
- Occasional lifting/carrying (25 pounds or less).
- Occasional standing/bending.
- Prolonged sitting.
- Prolonged work at a computer/PC.
- Prolonged working hours (during month-end close and on other projects as needed).
This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.

Senior Accountant-Remote
JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Accountant assists management with the monthly close process including review of financial statements and the preparation, analysis, and distribution of month end reporting packages. The position is responsible for assistance and preparation of annual budget and monthly projections and reporting. The position provides analysis and reporting on historical, projected, and proposed business activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the month-end processes, including accruals, journal entries, resolving financial issues, preliminary review of financial statements and supporting schedules. Analyze and prepare monthly postings for APC revenue and expenses.
- Prepare and distribute monthly Internal Locums reporting to TeamHealth internal clients and manage inquiries from TeamHealth internal clients.
- Prepare and distribute data for Tableau, Power BI, and other system dashboards for reporting.
- Assist with preparation and input (Oracle) of monthly projection update including sales activity, pricing, and SG&A expenses.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages to company leadership inclusive of budget vs. actual results, projections, and reconciliations.
- Assist with annual budget process including preparation, input (Oracle), and reporting schedules.
- Implement and maintain individual assignment pricing and profitability analysis and provide reporting and recommendations thereon interfacing with Sales Operations Analyst as needed.
- Provide back-up/support to Vice President of Operations Finance on centralized locums initiative reporting and analysis and engage with TeamHealth internal clients as needed to achieve resolution.
- Research local business and sales tax requirements and propose implementation schedule.
- Assist with preparation of the quarterly business review (QBR) presentation.
- Review bi-weekly provider payroll to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Work with Sales to ensure the transactional accuracy of monthly activity and preparation and approval of commissions calculations before commission payments.
- Become proficient in software and technology used within the D&Y Accounting department to provide assistance and guidance to other Accounting Department personnel as needed.
- Oversee operations of Accounting Department and personnel during periods of Accounting Manager’s absence.
- Assist provider payment associates during Provider Pay Supervisor’s absence.
- Prepare responses to auditor requests as directed.
- Perform special projects as assigned by management.
