JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The Administrative Coordinator is an in-office role that provides administrative and professional support to a fast-paced corporate tax department with maintenance of several systems and preparation of forms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform office duties, including preparation and processing of income tax returns for filing, maintenance of permanent files, correspondence and distribution of mail
  • Serve as the departmental control point for the tax department
  • Interact with all levels of management with TeamHealth and its affiliates, including outside business associates and government representatives by telephone and written correspondence
  • Support department by responding to tax notices from various taxing jurisdictions
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and check requests for tax payments and vendor invoices
  • Maintain confidentiality of TeamHealth office activities
  • Answer, handle, and respond to hard copy and email correspondence, including telephone calls, for the tax department without supervision or guidance
  • Complete an extensive variety of special projects as needed
  • Complete tax forms, update databases, and other tasks as assigned by department

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 - 5 years of professional work experience
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Flexibility to handle administrative and tax department task-based assignments
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database management, internet, e-mail)
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to support multiple persons with minimal direction/supervision
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • May require occasional seasonal overtime

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting
  • Moderate stress
  • Prolonged sitting and prolonged work at a computer/PC

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
