Practice Support Specialist (Liaison)

TeamHealth Louisville, TN (Remote) Full-Time

JOB OVERVIEW

The Practice Support Liaison will have a noticeable presence in supporting the clinician new hire process. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless and engaging transition for new clinicians, from when the contract is signed through onboarding, orientation, and receipt of first paycheck. In addition, this role will play integral part in foster clinician engagement and enhancing staff morale. The PSL will collaborate with various departments across the service line and work with clinicians, Practice Manager, Vice President of Operations (VPO), Director of Operations, Regional Medical Director, System Medical Director and Facility Medical Directors to ensure efficiency of the program and maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AS ASSIGNED

• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive culture by acting as a primary point of contact for new clinicians’ concerns or needs

• Partner with recruiting and Facility Medical Director to schedule and facilitate clinician interviews.

• Serves as liaison between providers and internal clients. Coordinates requests with FMDs, RMDs, VPO, DOO, Provider Services and Human Resources.

• Monitor and address factors impacting staff engagement, escalating concerns as needed.

• Collaborate with team leaders and site managers to align new clinicians with their teams.

• Foster open communication by maintaining regular check-ins with new and existing clinicians.

• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance onboarding and engagement processes.

• Implement and stay updated on best practices in clinician retention and morale-building.

• Send welcome information to new hires before their start date

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with hospital staff and management

• Be able to build and maintain relationships with clinicians in order to ensure successful onboarding

• Coordinate clinician new hire training and orientation

• Monitor & communicate new hire status to respective stakeholders

• Other duties as required and assigned by Senior Vice President. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

Job Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).


• Experience in clinician engagement, onboarding, or talent acquisition roles.


• Minimum of six years of customer relations experience preferred


• Knowledge of medical terminology a plus


• Exceptional organizational skills


• Excellent Client Service oriented, internal & external


• Health experience preferred but not required;


• Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information using discretion, diplomacy and good judgment


• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload


• Professional mannerism and appearance


• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office)


• Superior communication skills – verbal and written
